Questions & Answers for Families

Welcome to our Q&A page. We know choosing the right care for your child is a big decision, and we're here to help. Below, you'll find clear information covering common questions about enrollment, tuition, our daily schedules, and what life looks like every day here. We aim to make the process as simple and reassuring as possible for your family.

What are your hours of operation?

We are open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, providing reliable care that fits your family's schedule.

What is included in the monthly tuition?

Tuition covers the following:

  • Expert Bee-havioral Support: Our hive is led by a team trained in RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) practices, ensuring a supportive, structured, and positive environment for every child’s unique needs for toddler and wraparound classrooms.

  • A "Bee-spoke" Education: Access to high quality curriculum and specialized developmental activities tailored to every milestone.

  • The Hive Cafe: Nutritious breakfast, lunch, and two snacks served daily—no meal prep required!

  • Worry-Free Essentials: We provide all diapers and wipes, keeping your "honeybee" fresh and your morning routine simple.

  • Extracurricular "Buzz": Enrichment programs and specialized activities for every age group.

  • The Hive Connection: Stay in the loop with daily reporting via our parent app and regular parent support opportunities.

  • Professional Blooming: We invest in our staff's growth through Continuous Pollen-ation (ongoing professional development), so they remain the most skilled 'bees' in the field.

How does drop-in scheduling work?

Drop-in care should be booked via our website, subject to availability. It’s perfect for families needing occasional support or extra hours. Please note that payment is due upon scheduling.

Why should I choose The Hive & Hub ?
  • While many family home childcare programs focus primarily on supervision and care, The Hive & Hub was intentionally designed as a premium early learning experience that combines the warmth and familiarity of a home environment with the intentionality of a curriculum-driven educational program.

  • Our small-group model allows for meaningful relationships, individualized learning experiences, and responsive care tailored to each child's unique developmental journey. Through research-informed curriculum, enriching experiences, and a strong emphasis on social-emotional development, we create an environment where children are known, supported, and encouraged to thrive.

  • For preschool families, our wraparound care model provides the added convenience of extended-day support before and after preschool, helping bridge the gap between school schedules and the realities of modern family life.

  • At The Hive & Hub, families gain more than childcare—they become part of a community built around connection, learning, and the belief that every child deserves to flourish.

How do you support different learning needs?

1. The Power of "Bee-spoke" Assessment

Using the 38 research-based objectives within our curriculum, we don’t compare children to each other; we track their individual flight paths. This allows us to spot where a child might need a little extra "pollen" (support) or a bigger challenge, ensuring no one gets stuck in the honeycomb.

2. RBT-Trained Hive Support

Our staff’s training in Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) practices is a game-changer. It means our teachers are skilled in:

  • Positive Reinforcement: Catching those "honey-sweet" moments to build confidence.

  • Behavioral Shaping: Breaking big tasks into "bite-sized" buzzes for children who feel overwhelmed.

  • Functional Communication: Helping every child—whether they are verbal yet or not—find their voice in the hive.

3. Sensory-Friendly "Hollows"

We understand that some bees are more sensitive to the buzz than others. Our classrooms are designed with individualized sensory needs in mind, offering quiet "chill-out" spots and specialized developmental tools that help children self-regulate when the hive gets busy.

4. Intentional Teaching, Not "One Size Fits All"

Our Intentional Teaching Experiences are naturally flexible. Whether a child is a visual learner, a hands-on explorer, or a social butterfly, we adapt our activities in real-time. If a "Brilliant Bee" learns differently, we change the activity, not the child.

5. Collaborative Pollination

We treat parents and specialists as part of our Extended Colony. We work closely with families to align our classroom strategies with home routines or outside therapies (like OT, PT, or SLP), creating a seamless support system that helps every child truly "bee-long."
